The UAE Special Olympics signs a cooperation agreement with the Body Building and Fitness Federation
The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation signed a cooperation agreement with the Emirates Special Olympics Foundation, which aims to support the practice of powerlifting sports among people of determination to consolidate the vision and strategy of the organization to empower and integrate people of determination with mental disabilities in society through sports and the strategy of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi in promoting community sports and ensuring partnership to contribute to the development of Emirati sports.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Special Olympics Foundation by His Excellency Talal Al Hashemi, National Director of the Foundation, and on behalf of the Body Building and Fitness Federation, Secretary General of the Federation, His Excellency Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Marri.
The agreement, which lasts for a full year and can be extended, stipulates the exchange of knowledge and experiences related to powerlifting activities, the provision of referees, organizers and volunteers, in accordance with the programs of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and work to establish training centers at the state level for powerlifting sports and benefit from the experiences of both parties to achieve the set goals, in addition. To organize unified sports tournaments and community sports events in powerlifting, and work to form national teams and teams in powerlifting and attract athletes to participate in the national teams for unified sports and represent the country locally and internationally, and provide introductory workshops and refinement courses for coaches, referees, organizers, volunteers, and technical cadres to contribute to organizing tournaments and sporting events.
