The UAE Bodybuilding and Physique Championship competitions started on Saturday, as part of the Dibba Sports Festival (Dibba Classic Challenge). The festival is organized by the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and held at the Fujairah Creative Center Theatre.
The physique competitions resulted in the UAE national team player Ali Dawai winning the title of Champion of Champions and the gold medal in the 178 cm category, while the Iranian Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khazaei won the title of Champion of Classic Physique. The Emirati Rashid Al Muhairi won the gold medal in the 175 cm physique category, and his compatriot Ahmed Badr Al Awadhi won the youth classic gold medal. Omani Ibrahim Al Shehi won the 170 cm classic gold medal, and Egyptian Mohamed Osama won the 175 cm classic bodybuilding gold medal.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, President of the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, crowned the winners in the presence of Salem Khamis Al Saridi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. He praised the distinguished technical level presented by the players, which promises a bright future for UAE bodybuilding. He appreciated the pivotal role of the organizing committee and their efforts in making the sports event successful, describing the Dibba Sports Festival as a significant artistic addition to UAE bodybuilding. He noted that the Dibba Sports Challenge, now in its sixth year, has developed significantly and gained the audience's trust.
Salem Khamis Al Saridi confirmed that the success achieved by the Dibba Festival year after year, through the large turnout of players and audience, reflects its sports and social standing. He revealed that the first day witnessed a large attendance of 800 spectators, in addition to more than 100 coaches and administrators. The festival also saw the registration of 310 players in the UAE and Dibba Classic Bodybuilding and Physique Championships, and 52 players in arm wrestling, along with 17 judges.
